Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the past, present, and future of horticulture in Southern California!

The SCHS Annual Awards Banquet is our most important fundraiser, bringing together plant lovers, professionals, and friends to honor the remarkable individuals shaping our region’s horticultural legacy. Enjoy a gourmet meal in a beautiful setting, bid in our lively Silent Auction, and share in a celebration of community, inspiration, and the people moving horticulture forward.

This year, SCHS is proud to honor two individuals whose work has made a lasting impact on Southern California horticulture. The 2026 Horticulturist of the Year Award, SCHS’s most prestigious honor and a tradition dating to the 1950s, will be presented to James Henrich, curator of living collections at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden. The 2026 SCHS Pathmaker Award, which recognizes excellence, innovation, and progress in the field, will be presented to Dr. Chaz Perea, landscape manager at Dodger Stadium and professor of horticulture at Mt. San Antonio College.

For full event details, visit the Annual Awards Banquet page.
