Notice of Media

By attending a Southern California Horticultural Society event, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.

By entering the event premises, you grant your consent to the use of photographs, audio recordings, video footage, and/or written quotes of or about you: (i) on the SCHS website, (ii) in SCHS newsletters, promotional materials, and printed publications, (iii) in email and direct marketing campaigns, (iv) in advertisements (print, digital, or online), (v) on SCHS-managed social media platforms, (vi) in media coverage produced by or shared with external news or broadcast organizations, and/or (vii) in livestreams or video recordings hosted on SCHS or third-party platforms.

These materials may be used by the Southern California Horticultural Society and its affiliates for informational, promotional, archival, or educational purposes. You hereby release SCHS and its board members, volunteers, partners, and contractors from any and all liability connected to the capture and use of this media.

By attending, you waive any rights to payment, royalties, or approval of the use of such media. You also waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product in which your likeness, voice, or written contributions may appear.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform a board member or event staff upon arrival, and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate your request.

SCHS retains all rights to the media captured, including the right to use it for future promotions, marketing, and educational outreach.

You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability and release before entering the event.
